I’m pleased to welcome her for an interview here today.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you came to write this book?

“Money and Manifesting” was a natural consequence of the body of work that I’m finishing up building. I’m building a toolbox filled with tools that anyone, anywhere on their journey can pick up, find something that they resonate with, and then use as a platform for spiritual growth and change. I’m a psychic, teacher, energy worker, healer, lightworker, musician, and author. That is many words to say that at a core level I am a clairvoyant counselor. I help people move forward on the path.

Can we talk a bit about the intentions process? Is it o.k. to have wants/desires or is that just feeding one's ego?

It is absolutely okay to have wants, needs and desires and to express those in the form of intention. What really gets in the way of manifesting is when we demand from a place of ego that those things show up and when we demand exactly how they show up. This isn’t creating or manifesting. It is a child asking Santa Claus to bring them what they desire. Where the real power is is in knowing how to align your will and intention with universal will, and then integrating that into your life. In this way you are not manifesting from your ego, but manifesting from your divine right to create.

There is a new-ish book out called "The Secret" that is about the same thing. It has become a phenomenon and has been featured on Oprah. What makes this book different?

“Money and Manifesting” picks up where “The Secret” left off. We have a lot of people out there trying to manifest with just the power of their minds and not understanding why that isn’t bringing them what they desire. The power of positive thinking and utilizing the laws of attraction are but one step in the process of manifesting. And it was important that the information contained in “The Secret,” which never was a secret, filter into mass consciousness and resonate as the truth. “The Secret” is a foundation. “Money and Manifesting” isn’t about the Law of Attraction. It’s about how to activate and integrate the power of creation rather than just think about it. If someone wants to tell Oprah that there is more, that would be fine. However, with or without Oprah, the principles in “Money and Manifesting” will also someday become as widely utilized as the basic principles in “The Secret,” because they are also true. If “The Secret” was the foundation, the information in “Money and Manifesting” can be used to build the house.

There is another very distinct difference, which distinguishes this book not only from “The Secret” but from everything else currently out there on the subject of manifesting. This is not just another manual filled with helpful information. My body of work is about automatic shift. Parts of the book are fictionalized. The reason for having fiction wrapped around the information is that it helps you with the integration process. What you’re doing simply by reading the book is integrating left brain and right brain. Integration is an important step in manifesting. You can think positive thoughts about something all day long. That does not make it appear. You need to do something else and part of that something else is integration. When you get done reading the book you’ve already automatically taken the first steps toward manifesting. What you choose to do with that automatic shift is up to you.

What blocks you from manifesting when you are doing/saying all the "right" things?

In the process of manifesting we have to clear a pathway for energy to flow. That includes clearing a pathway not just for the energy of money to flow, but for the energy of anything to flow. Everything is energy so it’s helpful to have an understanding of how energy works. Since this is a Reiki blog you already know that you cannot force energy or direct it by your own will. Energy flows. An energy pathway can be blocked by core belief systems about whatever it is you’re trying to manifest. So it would be important to examine exactly what those belief systems are and where they came from and then decide what to do about it.

Should one read/repeat one's intentions daily, or just write them out once and leave them alone?

This is a really good question for a lot of reasons. If you are a child and you have a broken toy, you may ask someone “in charge” to fix it for you. Then instead of hovering, giving instructions on how to fix it, or demanding that it be fixed right now, you leave it in capable hands and go out to play. If you knew how to fix it you would have fixed it yourself. Since you didn’t know how to fix it, or perhaps didn’t have an important missing part, you trusted that “the powers that be” would either be able to fix it or replace it with something equal or even better. The key here is that you let go and went out to play, giving the “fixer” the opportunity to actually fix it. One very important and necessary step in manifesting is letting go. However, when utilizing the Law of Attraction, one knows that whatever you put enough energy on is eventually going to be attracted. I say attracted, but attracting something isn’t the same as manifesting. So, after you’ve put a sufficient amount of daily energy on something such as your intentions, you do need to let it all go so that the energy of what you’re intending to create can flow back to you. To not let go is to get in your own way.

For much more information about Dyan Garris and Money
and Manifesting, visit
http://inspiredauthor.com/promotion/Dyan+Garris for
complete tour details. Reiki has been used for healing since the end of the last century, but is still growing in popularity today. Listed below are the steps to take if you desire to learn Reiki and become a Reiki Master.

There are three levels of Reiki that must be completed in order to become a Reiki Master. These are the First Degree level, the Second Degree level, and the Master/Teacher, or Third Degree, level. Each level is explained below.

First Degree Reiki

In the First Degree level of Reiki, you'll learn how Reiki works, Reiki's historical background, and the different types of Reiki systems that exist today. You'll also be initiated into Reiki and receive your first Reiki energy experience through Reiki Attunement.

Through Reiki Attunement, you'll learn first-hand how to tune in to Reiki energy and use it for stress management and physical and emotional healing. This initiation usually involves lying on your back or stomach while a Master or practitioner places his or her hands from your head to toes to approximate the traditional chakra locations. The energy flows through the Master's hands into your body.

Although much training is provided through home courses and online courses, you should receive your Reiki Attunement through a Master in person to fully understand Reiki. Once you've experienced Reiki for yourself, you'll start learning how to give others Reiki treatments.

Second Degree Reiki

In the Second Degree level of Reiki, you'll expand on your initial experiences. You'll learn about distance healing as well. Distance healing involves channeling Reiki energies to someone in another town or even another country! The energy vibration is different with this type of Reiki. It has a higher proportion of energy from the Source and a lower proportion of Chi than the First Degree level. Where the First Degree level promotes primarily physical healing, the Second Degree level promotes healing on a mental, spiritual and emotional level.

Master/Teacher Reiki or Third Degree Level

In the Master/Teacher, or Third Degree, level of Reiki, you'll learn how to use Reiki symbols and what they mean. You'll also learn how to use various methods of stress management such as healing drumming and crystal healing with crystals. You'll become familiar with sacred mantras and how the different energies work so you can teach others. You'll also be able to perform Reiki Attunements.

There are many workshops, online and off-line, to help you learn Reiki. There are also places you can go to have a wonderful Reiki experience, such as the Bell Rock Vortex in Sedona, Arizona. Wherever you go or whomever you choose to help you along the Reiki journey, make sure to open yourself fully to the Reiki energy so you can experience its true healing power.

Chris Robertson is an author of Majon International, one of the worlds MOST popular internet marketing companies on the web.
Learn more about Learn Reiki and Become a Master or Majon's Health and Beauty directory.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Chris_Robertson
http://EzineArticles.com/?How-to-Learn-Reiki-and-Become-a-Reiki-Master&id=396999
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-87637331494952324622007-05-16T16:49:00.000-07:002007-05-16T16:51:58.240-07:00Back In The LightThe last few weeks have been full of positive reiki experiences. I have had some success with distant healing, which I did as an exercise when I reviewed a reiki 2 class. I have also been trying it on different people and I am sure it has made some difference. It is wonderful to have a tool with such a widespread application.

I've also got the group treatments started again and we are planning to extend the group - watch this space for reports.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-8837366230578561002007-04-22T19:05:00.000-07:002007-04-22T19:06:57.319-07:00Back In The SaddleI've been doing my self treatments every day, but it was good to get back to group treatments last week - albeit with a slightly reduced group. We must try to get a few more people interested.

I've also experimented on a situation and now I have to work on my leg, which I reinjured today. Wish me luck!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-79403602664811222342007-03-03T12:53:00.000-08:002007-03-03T12:55:47.421-08:00Taking Note Of Reiki ExperiencesIt's been just over a month since I did Reiki II and it's been an interesting period, getting used to the new tools that are available. I have experimented with distant healing and tried reiki on food and other substances. I have tried it on travel and on situations, with some success.

The only thing I have not succeeded with is keeping this blog so that I can note things down as they happen. But I am looking forward to our Reiki II meeting tomorrow. It will be fun to hear what others have been up to.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-58163090143659707722007-02-11T09:52:00.000-08:002007-01-23T16:37:38.891-08:00After Reiki IIIt's been a couple of weeks since I did my second degree reiki course and I have been using it. It's amazing how much more energy there is to throw at a problem. This week I had a bad eye, some sort of muscular strain, so I put my hand over it for 20 minutes one night and the next morning it was on the mend. I am starting to see more instances of how it works.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-45127384737562484732007-01-23T16:33:00.000-08:002007-01-23T16:37:38.971-08:00Group Treatment - Jan 23, 2007Today was the first time in ages I have done a group treatment and not felt sleepy at some point. Instead I felt energised and very in tune with what was happening. With one group treatment I felt a lot in the lower right problem, which was unsurprising given that the subject had been suffering a colon problem. With another, I felt heat over the shoulders.

When it was my turn to be treated, I felt relaxed but did not fall asleep. There were two experiences of note. The first was when my feet were being treated and I felt as if someone were pushing firmly against them. The second was when my back was being treated and I could hear conversation. Spooky, but interesting.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-51294856380076161852007-01-21T07:07:00.000-08:002007-01-21T07:09:46.741-08:00Treating Colds With ReikiOr not treating colds, but trying to stop them. When I start to feel blocked or my glands start to swell, I put my hands on them. In three cases, this seems to have retarded the onset of a cold. In one case, I got it anyway, but it's a good hit rate. Sometimes the energy goes to other areas, but sometimes it goes where you hope it will. Who could ask for more.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-61236319502062500612007-01-21T07:03:00.000-08:002007-01-21T07:06:54.436-08:00Stealth ReikiA friend had a bad shoulder the other day. We had never discussed the fact that I have done reiki. It just never came up, so I was wondering how to help without having to enter into a long discussion. Luckily, the opportunity presented itself when she asked me to rub in some cream to the affected area. I was able to give a bit of reiki, only for a minute or so. By the next day, she was feeling better.

In these situations it is difficult to know what worked best, but it certainly didn't hurt. Having had similar injuries myself, I know that they can last for several days, so it was pleasing that she recovered quicklyUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-18296137372748137622007-01-21T06:58:00.000-08:002007-01-21T07:03:48.367-08:00Self TreatingI've managed to get in a couple of full self treatments recently. When I have quiet space I start to feel things again. I always have heat under my hands when treating my ribcage, especially on the right side. Occasionally, as I did the other night, I feel movement of energy, which is something I usually feel with other people - or when other people are treating me.

I get a great sense of well being when I have completed a full self treatment - or done any reiki at all. I also enjoy the group treatments, because there is a great sense of peace and energy.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-43536636102354145272007-01-09T06:45:00.000-08:002007-01-09T06:49:15.548-08:00Using The NoiseYesterday, I took part in a group treatment. I was thinking about the value of quiet time to concentrate on feeling the energy. Although I can do that when I am doing a self treatment, it is harder to do when you are distracted by the noise of the traffic and the fan.

However, I have found that the best approach is to make that noise work for you - as part of the noise that drowns out other noise. Trying to make it part of the curtain tbat blankets you from other thought can be achieved, though with difficulty.

During the treatment, I could feel heat between my soles and the floor and I was also very aware of heat on various people as I was treating them. Next treatment due in two weeks - I can't wait.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-52725293351879159092007-01-04T06:47:00.000-08:002007-01-04T06:53:54.255-08:00A Child's Perception Of Reiki'Mummy, put your hand like that - there, please'. What my daughter was asking was for me to do some reiki on her cut hand. A few weeks earlier, she had commented that my hugs were very warm. Now I realised that she had cottoned on that something happened when I put my hand over hers. At the very least, it felt good.

Through a half hour car journey, she replaced my hand whenever it slipped, positioning it so it was cupping hers without touching the cut. Later, she told me: 'I don't need you to do that any more.'

I quite often give her a warm hug - to calm her down and make her feel good. It is difficult to get a response as you would with an adult, but I can tell when she feels good, because she snuggles in for more. Or she darts off because she's OK.

What is interesting about this is that I have never said to her: 'I'm doing reiki on you.' Instead, I do it while doing the things that most mums do - hugging and touching. So the perception that something is happening is all from her, and she has no preconceptions. At four, everything is still new and exciting. So I think her take on this is very positive.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-51911557553633876392007-01-02T04:42:00.000-08:002007-01-02T04:46:28.028-08:00Finding A Quiet SpaceOne of the difficult things about living near a main road is that there is traffic noise at all times of day and night. That means that it can be difficult to find a quiet mental space when doing reiki - and I find that is essential if I am going to concentrate on what I am feeling.

It can be achieved, but it takes some work. I find it useful to focus on light (while my eyes are closed) or to think of something relaxing, such as an empty beach. When I do that, I can feel things. This morning, I tried that and immediately noticed an increased warmth under my right hand in position six. I hadn't been feeling it before, because of being distracted. I think techniques for focusing can be a key part of maximising the experience of practicing reiki.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-1788189867778908422006-12-23T05:25:00.000-08:002006-12-23T05:29:33.984-08:00Waking Up EarlyI used to be a morning person, but I'm not any more. However, one of the advantages of waking early is that it's one of the few times I get to do a full self-treatment.

At night, I often fall asleep before I finish. In the morning, it's more leisurely (at least until my daughter wakes). I can feel the warmth under my hands and sometimes movement, though my hands don't feel warm to me. However, my daughter and others say they are very warm. Maybe it's because I'm getting used to this feeling.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-178810941942022502006-12-16T04:16:00.000-08:002006-12-16T04:20:12.552-08:00Geting Used To The FeelingWhen I first did Reiki, it was strange to feel the heat in my hands. Now I don't even notice it any more, though other people tell me my hands are warm. My daughter told me the other day that my hugs were very warm, and I don't think she was being abstract.

At the same time, I'm more conscious of the warmth when I do a self-treatment. Last night, my hands were roasting, especially over the ribs and pelvis. It's probably not a coincidence that it's over the gallbladder (or ex-gallbladder) and the symphysis pubis pain.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-48200885041089427902006-12-11T15:42:00.000-08:002006-12-11T15:45:26.609-08:00Group TreatmentThree of us have been getting together to do group treatments since our Reiki I class. Tonight we got to treat someone else, as E had a guest. He fell asleep within seconds. I could feel energy moving. In fact, I felt a lot tonight, both when treating and being treated. Tonight was the first time I have felt movement around my eyes when being treated. I also had a tingling in my left big toe - that's the one that sometimes aches.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-13307976640176238382006-12-09T09:56:00.000-08:002006-12-09T09:58:27.854-08:00First Reiki ExperienceMy first experience with reiki was when my mother who had just done her first degree put her hand on a bleeding cut I had. Normally, it would have taken weeks to heal, but by the end of that day you could hardly see where it had been. Being a sceptic, it took me weeks and months (years, in fact) to even think about doing it myself, but that was the first crack in the armour.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-721090951428858418.post-9844640949056067852006-12-07T09:21:00.000-08:002006-12-07T09:22:32.689-08:00IntroductionI had my first degree reiki attunement just over a month ago.
